Cell phone usage

Additional Information

Cell phones are a very useful tool when someone needs to contact you while you are at work.

While you are clocked in as employees of Wycliffe, it is important that members know we are here for them.   When they see you on your cell phone you are no longer here for them, you are now paying attention to your own personal device.

Cell phones are not part of your uniform, therefore should not be used when you are clocked in on company time.  If you are seen using your cell phone on the floor you will be at risk for disciplinary action.

Schedules

HotSchedules

HotSchedules is an online tool which shows your schedule, allows you to request days off, swap shifts, give up shifts, change your availability, message co-workers/managers and have access to contact information for your other co-workers.

How to call out of a shift is you are sick

All call out must be done through the Hotschedules app.  You must call out two hours before your scheduled in time and have made an effort by contacting at least two people who are not scheduled to work to cover your shift.  If you find someone to cover your shift, swap shifts on the Hotschedules app.  If can can not find someone to cover your shift, send a message via the Hotschedules messaging tool to all of the FOH Managers with the person covering your shift or the two people you reached out to to cover your shift.  All call outs will be noted in the F&B call out log.

www.HotSchedules.com

How to read your schedule

Each block indicates your time in and time out, which location you are scheduled in and also what type of event.  For instance: if you are schedules for Special Event, you know to wear your vest uniform.

Section assignment

Each week you will get a section assignment.  The whole week is published at a time so you can anticipate which section you will be in.  Your section determines what sidework you are responsible for.  Just because you are assigned a section does not mean you don't help your teammates out.

Attendence

Time off requests

Requesting time off should be done with as much advanced notice as possible.  If you know there is an important date coming up, please ensure you put in a request.  Time off is on a first come first serve basis and requests sometimes do not get approved.  There are also blackout dates which include major holidays.

Calling out

It is your responsibility to contact a manager to alert them you will not be into work at your scheduled time.  Do not have your agent do it for you.  We made the choice to be in this business.  When you call out, please understand that you hurt the whole team.

Being on Time

You have a scheduled shift start time so you can be here for pre-shift.  Pre-shift has valuable information to help you be better prepared to do your job.  Please be responsible and respectful.  It is a distraction and a disruption when you arrive late.
